Common sense in the main guideline
JazzOut organises Try-out classes and CrashCourses on a regular base. Check out Try-Out classes or FacebookPage to see when and where the next Try-out class will be. You can also contact us if you want us to teach a Try-out class at an event you are organising.
You do not have to sign up for a try-out class, you can just show up and dance with us!
Yes you can! Lindy Hop is a dance for 2, but because we change partners regularly in the lessons you do not have to have a dance partner. However; if we have to many sign ups for leaders or followers, you will be put on the waiting list. Most of the time we have to much follows...so if you are a follow,, try to find a lead or become a leader yourself.
There is also a Solo Jazz track, for this you do not have to sign up with a partner because you will dance solo.
Sometimes. When you want to catch up a class, talk to your teacher about the possibilities. Unfortunately you can not catch up with all missed classes. If you want to catch up, check out the recaps on our YouTube-channel, or ask one of you fellow dancers or the teachers during Practice Time. If you missed a couple of classes you can book a private with the teachers, they will bring you up to speed and will also provide you with extra dancing skills.
Check out the prices for the current prices.
Students get a discount, you have to show your Student-ID at the start of the block.
When you join the weekly classes + the Solo Jazz track you get a discount of €15,-
If you sign up for two Lindy Hop classes you get the second Lindy Hop class for half price. You can only join an other class if there is a spot left and if it's the same or lower level.
The costs for each workshop will be announced on the site and Facebook, because they vary each time. As a JazzOut-member you get discounts on all our workshops.
Yes, you can. Always contact JazzOut if you want to pay in 2 terms. There will be made an arrangement with you.
If you live in Nijmegen: Yes you can! Go to the site of Gemeente Nijmegen to check out what you need to do.
If you live in Den Bosch. No, we are sorry, this is not (yet) arranged.
Wear comfortable clothes, your shoes should be inside shoes and not be worn outside. Wear shoes with blank soles, as they don't stain the floor. As a beginner we advice you to wear flat shoes (or with just a really tiny, flat heel)
If you are having doubts about you clothes or shoes, please do not hesitate to ask us.
You need inside-shoes, (shoes that are not worn outside) a bottle of water and a towel. If you sweat a lot, bring an extra shirt/outfit.
